Dear Christina, in a way, the author notes that since the result/winner of an auto-chess inspired game is -- by default -- settled by whoever lasts (or survives) the longest (thus "last-man-standing"), adding the word "Royale" -- which pertains to a Genre defined by all-out survival battles between players -- is somewhat nonsensical. This notion is further bolstered if you consider that some of the that genre's staples (in this case, a bus/vehicle/care package from where you can take supplies from, or an ever-collapsing circle that restricts the area of play) are absent from this title's [Might & Magic: Chess Royale] overall "gameplay experience".

Small correction -- in the original text, said Battle Bus pertains to the vehicle that transports all players during the beginning of any said match in Fortnite, and not any and all care-package-like instances, such as the one I had in mind (Supply Ship from Apex Legends).
