I know that 'furgonetas' are vans or trucks so I decided that 'montafurgonetas' would be vans or trucks for driving off the normal road.

: You decided? I fail to see the logic. As you say, 'furgoneta' is truck or van so that leaves you with 'monta' and you read it as 'driving off the normal road'?
