@ Mário Products are per se for sale. According to the source text, tutela is an extension of the corresponding product security programs. The purpose of product security programs is to secure the security, quality and performance of the product after sale. It follows therefore that tutela also applies after sale and therefore that it cannot mean custody, as you understand it, because the product is not in the possession of the protector.

In addition, it sounds a bit weird to protect a product. You protect a person, a facility, a wealth, ok.

@ Mark Correct, but "tutela" also implies in the custody of that product. Now, custody involves protection, but protection does not imply custody.
