Arabic to English Art/Literary Poetry & Literature

Hi all,

I'm translating an excerpt from a novel. Here's the phrase in context - the narrator, who is a child at this point, has been gifted the ring that her late grandmother used to wear. It was gifted to her by her grandfather, who has also just passed away.

I'd like to get more of a sense of what رقيقة means so that I can choose an appropriate English alternative. What other/related qualities is the word supposed to evoke? What kind of woman would you describe as رقيقة ?
At the moment, I'm thinking 'wonderful woman' but have seen another source translate it as 'classy'.
