Portuguese term

bolha no dente

Portuguese to English Medical Medical: Dentistry ClearCorrect aligners text about orthodontic treatment
This document is about aligning teeth using clear aligners and relates various treatments to make extra space between teeth, expand dental arches, etc. and it includes this phrase: Foi realizado refinamento da posição do 21 através de bolha realizada com alicate no alinhador 6. Position of tooth #21 was tweaked by means of a ??? made with pliers to aligner 6..... Does anybody know what bolha means in this context please. It occurs in similar instances in other places in the document. It is a Brazilian document that is to be translated from my English version into several other languages, so I need to be as accurate as possible. All suggestions gratefully received. I assume this is some kind of attachment fixed onto the tooth to attach an aligner to.

bubble

After some research, I've found that a number of patents of devices used for making features on orthodontic aligners mention the process of making "bubbles". So I believe the most obvious translation actually works here !
Example sentence:

"this methodology can be employed to create a raised land, hook, eyelet, bubble, recess, post, window, retentive dimple or attachment point for an aligner auxiliary"

an adjustment on tooth XX was made by using a bubble-forming plier

There are Thermo bubble-forming pliers that are used to create or modify force points, to create space, to create slots or to form hooks in aligners.
