English term

Assumption Certificate Estate Bonds

English to French Law/Patents Law (general) Estate
Bonjour, j'ai un doute sur ma traduction d'"Assumption Certificate Estate Bonds" :
Attestation de cautionnement de succession prise en charge.

Merci !

Is this in a contract? If it's in a contract, and the term is capitalized, then it's a defined term. Look for the definition in the contract itself (or ask the client if they haven't provided a full copy of the contract; the definitions section could also be in a master contract from which the contract you're translating depends). Then just do a straight translation of the term while ensuring that your straight translation is consistent with the contractual definition.

No context The agency PM hasn't heard from the client yet - it's been 5 days - so I don't have any context except that this is a document about SIC codes.

"Assumption Certificate Estate Bonds" = ZERO ghits, none, nil, zip, zilch, nada, ...

So it's a term created on purpose for this ST only. Thus without more context it could mean nothing or anything or whatever in-between ...
