Finnish term

säästää korvia

Finnish to English Tech/Engineering Mechanics / Mech Engineering
From a feedback questionnaire about the products of a valve company:

"
Säätöventtiilit [ovat] laadukkaita ja Q-trimmi säästää korvia
"

(There doesn't seem to be any surrounding context – this is just a one-sentence comment.)

What does "säästää korvia" mean?

I have some thoughts, but I'll keep them to myself until I get some bites on this question. :)

Kiitos

Up my confidence So with Tarja's comment I reckon mine is probably OK don't you?

Don't know anything about valves, but I wonder if it "spares the ears from the noise", i.e. relates to the noise attenuating trim.
