A zone is as an area of 10m long and 4 m large high on the face of the load and 16 m deep.
A zone has a lower in temperature than the other zones.
This zone is the “cold zone” within the kiln.
If the “side” of the chamber is smaller than the front of a zone and 16 m or less in depth, a cold zone determination isn't required.
