"For the purposes of this Exception, the Infected Individual need not be physically present on or ***in an interest affected by the loss event***, provided that his or her actions or decisions causing or contributing to the loss event and affecting that interest, directly or indirectly, were of a kind which, when not impaired or affected, would fall within the ordinary course of his or her employment".

present on or in an interest affected by the loss event
Selected
https://www.google.com/search?q="physically present on or in...
"and visitors who are physically present on or in UWM Property, or other location of any UWM-sponsored activity,"
"solely of such persons as may be physically present on or in the premises described, and does not authorize"
"under the age of eighteen (18) may be physically present on or in those portions of the premises where gaming is not being"
"individuals who are physically present on or in the facility as employees"
Además, notar que (creo que) no existe la expresión o phrasal verb "to be present on"; necesita una continuación.
..........................
Por lo tanto, la frase a interpretar es: "the Infected Individual need not be physically present on or in an interest affected by the loss event"
"in other cases a memorandum of essential terms sufficient
to identify the interest affected and the parties will suffice."
https://www.linguee.com/english-spanish/search?source=auto&q...
"...just given the severity of the crime, the legally protected interest affected, the culpability of the agent and other facts that go into determining [...]"
