English to Spanish Social Sciences Medical (general) Gastrointestinal system

Hello,

I am translating a Subject Card for medical or Health Sciences students on the GI system.
I find hard to get an understandable idea of the word syntopy. It comes up twice in this paragraph.

This is the context:
LECTURE 2: Pharynx. Parts: nasopharynx, oropharynx, laryngopharynx, Syntopy, topographical spaces. Blood supply. Innervation. Pharyngeal lymphoid ring. Pharyngeal constrictors. Pharyngeal levators. Muscles of the soft palate. Oesophagus. Parts of the oesophagus and its syntopy.
