Odczyt próby tuberkulinowej mówi nam o tym, czy dana osoba choruje na gruźlicę, lub czy występuje u niej, podejrzenie zaistnienia tej choroby. Wynik badania może być dodatni, bądź ujemny, przy czym wynik dodatni wskazuje na wystąpienie choroby. Odczyt wyników próby tuberkulinowej jest bardzo skomplikowany, gdyż stan zdrowia pacjentów ma wpływ na interpretację wyników.
