As a scientist myself, I have used this technique many times. It is a way of applying different centrifugation parameters to a sample for preparation of its proteins, that allows for an increased yield in the amount of protein.
Apologies to other responders, but the Reverse Spin device is actually for a totally different application: it is an incubator allowing better bacterial cell growth and has nothing to do with protein sample preparation. Context should always be checked thoroughly in science because sometimes we use similar names for very different applications...
