Wiem, że marudzę i w ogóle..., ale czy w tłumaczonym tekście znajduje się jakakolwiek ilustracja? Obecnie faseta to listwa (gips, styropian itp.) nakładana na połączenie sufitu ze ścianą. Gdy mowa o budynkach sprzed kilkuset lat, to ja bym spodziewał się widoku takiego jak w Sali Balowej w pałacu w Krowiarkach albo np.

Podejrzewam, że do takiego kontekstu najlepiej pasuje "cove ceiling" = sufit z fasetą; sufit fasetowy. Bez wiedzy, jak to rzeczywiście wygląda, tylko zgaduję.

Podejrzewam, że tłumaczysz tekst podobny do http://ajakbiuroa.blogspot.com/2016/06/krowiarki-paac.html - patrz opis pod Sala Balowa.

Re "głęboka faseta": IMO możliwe, że chodzi o odległość (mierzoną w poziomie) od krawędzi sufitu do płaszczyzny ściany, na moje oko rzędu 1 m. Sugeruję dopytać autora/klienta. Nie wiem, jak tę "głębokość" ująć po angielsku.
