I'm translating a list of spare parts for a mini pantograph, one of which is "Morsa eccentrica con **eccentrico** e ganasce in fibroide". Can anyone help me with the word "eccentrico"? I feel that in English it needs to be followed by a noun, but I'm not sure whether that would be shaft, screw... or whatever else. Many thanks in advance.

If you have an image of the clamp you should be able to see if it's a screw as I suppose. It's the screw that blocks the clamp. You can compare it with the image in the reference link.
Note from asker:
Sadly it is just a list with no images or other context and the client is on holiday until 7 January, so I fear it may have to remain a mystery until then. |

Note from asker:
Thanks Kate, but my problem is in the case of a clamp, what noun could reasonably come after "eccentric". None of these actually seem appropriate. |
