Swedish term

tillträdesdag

Swedish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
This is a share transfer agreement - does anyone know the correct English term for tillträdesdag?

Date of entry? Access? or something else?

KudoZ rules 2.8 Sufficient time should be allowed for responses to be made.
In order to ensure this, askers can close their questions after at least twenty-four (24) hours have passed from posting. Before that point, they can post their recommendation but leave the decision to the community.

@ Paul L. You may be suggesting the FARS entry of 'day of taking possession' is right - and it may well be if these are bearer shares. Registered shares are not 'taken possession of', but change of title to such stock is shown by an entry in the 'aktiebok' - see the relevant question thereon.

I have seen 'possession date' only in leases of land and tenancies of property, not only those I have drafted when working in the conveyancing dept. of a City of London law firm :

'The possession date is the date the buyer will receive the keys to the property and can officially move in. Often the possession is the day following completion strictly to allow time to ensure the transaction closes.'

You chose wrong. However, I am certain you will get away with it. All the best.

(share) transfer date

When it comes to shares, this is the date a buyer takes 'possession.'

For some ideas earch "transfer date" + "shares" and "transfer date" + "shares" + "EU"

(BrE) completion date; (AmE) closing date; (gen.) vesting day

This question has been asked on ProZ before a few times, so is utterly familiar to some of us old hands.

No offenc/se to our North American colleagues if I put BrE first, only because the asker could possibly be after a UK term.

Confusingly, completion date works not only for a land conveyance, but also for a mortgage (Scots: standard security) raised for the purpose eg. mortgage completion date.

Example sentence:

Share Transfer Date means the date of receipt by Buyer of an original and valid notification of the *completion of the transfer of the Shares* from Seller to the account of Depository in the Register as set forth

Vesting Day means the day specified by the Minister for Finance under paragraph 5 of this Schedule.
