I agree with your client. I found this link that is pertinent to the current use of the term in Brazil, as broken as the English is: https://ehps.net/brazil/

: I'd say all types of psychology are health-related, aren't they? Psychology does not involve physical health Barbara :)

No, not really. When one says something is "health-related" in English, they are usually referring to physical, not mental health. Anyway, I wouldn't say that psychoanalysis is health-related.

Mas a psicologia exercida nos hospitais É a psicologia clínica. A nomenclatura é muito mais comum e correta do que psicologia hospitalar. Além disso, não existe essa variante em inglês. Hospital psychology? Of course not!

Note from asker:
Obrigada Mario. Mas essa seria uma tradução mais apropriada para o termo Psicologia Clinica, que uma outra especialidade do cliente. |

Doesn't sound too good.

: Probably a bit too specific, since "health psychology" can refer to various kinds of pyschology-related positions in a hospital setting.

Ok, this is what I would use. It sounds better to me.

As Milena points out, it doesn't say "psicologia clínica".

: The current trend in Brazil is to move away from the term you have entered, in favor of the more specific term, "Health Psychology".

Discussion
From UCLA:
"Although both clinical and health psychologists often examine mental health, the field of clinical psychology primarily focuses on diagnosing, understanding, and treating mental disorders, whereas health psychology examines the bidirectional relationship between mental and physical health" (emphasis added).
