: you've gone off off tangent - the only clue you really need is "oil for differential" and it hasn't got much to with with the transmission being manual or automatic.

It's not the engine, it's not the gearbox, it's the box that's "splitting" the input from the engine in two outputs with "different speeds" (with a "differential" between these two speeds) so that the left wheel and the right wheel can turn at different speeds when the vehicle is not moving straight.
And there is separate / special oil for lubricating the splitterbox which usually contains some kind of mechanism to produce a "differential output".
IOW, even as it is the ST can be "deciphered", but that's not how "a maintenance manual for a land transport vehicle" is supposed to work, and sending out this kind of "translations" with your wares is not the best business practice .
These "translations" are OTOH ***very good*** to show them to those speaking only English to make them realise what happens when you start penny-pinching on translations, and not checking them with revisors "native" in the subject matter in the target language.
If it's any consolation, the mangling of Serbian by MT is even worse.

Do you have any clues as to the country / language of origin?
It sounds to me as if by 'displacement' they actually mean 'is used for moving the vehicle' — in which case, we simply wouldn't explain it in quite this way in EN; but without more context and/or confirmation of provenance, we can be sure of nothing.
