The Egyptian Electricity Holding Company (EEHC) signed a 12-year long term service fuel efficiency improvement contract with ATD Combustors (ATDC) in August 2016, where ATDC would invest in the rehabilitation and uprating of 2 * 300 MW dual-fuels (FO and natural gas), fired units in Walidia thermal power plant belonging to UEEPC. Both boilers were designed in 1990s each having a maximum continuous rating of 1085 tph steam flow, A key objective of the contract is to improve the plant’s efficiency by reducing fuel consumption per kwh in the range between 4% to 10%
