English term

"curly, coily and textured"

English to Portuguese Other Cosmetics, Beauty
I am translating an product announcement for African hair products and the text contains the phrase "curly, coily and textured Black hair". I am trying to decide which are the best translations for each adjective. I am leaning toward "enrolados, cacheados e crespas" but there are alternatives like "cachos em espiral" and others.
I would love some feedback. Thanks!

An extremely similar question was posted some time ago. Please check: https://www.proz.com/kudoz/english-to-portuguese/cosmetics-b...

I would just like to reinforce that "textured hair" should not be translated as "cabelo texturizado", because they have different meanings.

As I said in the other question: "PS. "Textured hair" doesn't literally translate to "cabelo texturizado", which has a slightly different meaning in PT. It means when the curly/coily hair is fixed in a specific way, that is, styling your hair to have the curls in a specific way (bigger/smaller or tighter/looser curls), usually making all of the hair uniform (because one person can have more than one type of curls in different parts of their head)."

Cacheados, encaracolados e crespos

I used the most common terms used based on the less curly to the curliest textures.

cabelo cacheado, crespo e encarapinhado

Compare the names for the Andre Walker system level of curl?

As a curly girl myself, if I want to look for information about my hair type, I know I'll find things using the Andre Walker number-letter code (though the system has come under criticism for not being "scientific" or for which hair type got assigned the value of 1, I think it still has its merits for comparative purposes:

https://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types
Example sentence:

Textured hair is where strands create shape, like curves, spirals, zig zags or waves; hair is kinky, coily, curly or wavy.

Para quem está aprendendo sobre os cuidados com o cabelo cacheado agora, a primeira coisa para se saber é que as curvaturas capilares são separadas em quatro categorias: ... a 2 para os ondulados, a 3 para os cachos, e a 4 para os crespos.
