Spanish term

antelación no superior a seis meses a

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general) Franchise contract
Hi all
I need help clarifying the meaning of this, please.
Do you read it as saying that the negotiation for the agreement renewal needs to take place *no later* than six months before the agreement's expiry date, or *no sooner* than six months before the agreement's expiry date?
I read it as saying "no sooner" but I would have thought it would be more likely that the Franchisor (and indeed the Franchisee) would not want to leave it until the last minute, so I'm left wondering if I'm mis-understanding it.
Any thoughts, please?
Thanks!

They have either made a mistake or forgotten to add "...y no inferior a...".

Yes, that's how I read it too Yes, that's how I read it too. But it doesn't seem logical because it could end up being negotiated up until the very last minute which doesn't seem very sensible to me as businesses need stability....
I've asked the agency to ask the client, just to make sure ;-)
And thank you for your comment, and thanks also to the others who have offered suggested answers.

It does read like "no sooner" to me. It does read like "no sooner than" to me.

Gracias, Adoración!
agree philgoddard : Though Adoración's reference is more useful - yours just proves that "no earlier than" exists.

Yes, you are right. It does mean "no sooner than". "No superior a seis meses" means "not exceeding six months".

Here is an example that might make it a bit clearer:
