Good morning,

I am working on a translation about security footwear and I can't find what the right translation for 'track sole' is in French.
I think I understand what it is (a thick sole?) but I don't know what the right term is in French.
Any help will be highly appreciated!

It a sole with deeply carved profile - not the same as a thick sole with a shallow profile, or just smooth - made of hard high-friction material, providing good grip to the ground surface.

It's basically copied from climbing / mountaineering shoes, type of shoes also used for tracking (thus "tracking sole").
