Kompressor för processgas, petrokemisk industri. Det finns flera typer av tätningselement, t.ex. "with radial cut", "with tangential cut" och så den efterfrågade "step bridge cut". Har tyvärr inga bilder. Troligen skrivet av en icke infödd engelsktalande, troligare tysk bakgrund. Tacksam om någon kan gissa hur det ser ut, om inte det finns en bra svensk term.

ring design. The four piece ring is an old design and not often used today. Still another design is a one
piece radial cut ring with an outer cover ring, which seals radially and has a garter spring effect All these
rings need a secondary cover ring to seal the gaps in the axial direction. Therefore the three piece, radial cut
ring is often used. There are also packing rings with gas tight joints on the market Their advantage is that a
cover ring is not needed.

| Thanks a lot for your research! My end client is indeed Burckhardt, and the sealing elements are indeed Redura. I understand what they look like, but I cannot for the life of me find anthing in Swedish that even vaguely resembles these things. And so, no Swedish terminology either. I guess I'll have to invent something... /Göran |
