RDV

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Transport / Transportation / Shipping Electronic despatch advice
SPAIN/LATAM. This undefined abbreviation appears in despatch advice software. I don't know if the original abbreviation would be in English or not. For context, I'm posting the term as it appears along with some preceding and following strings, although they don't help with my query, which is what the abbreviation stands for.

"Datos incorrectos en la linea
. Fecha de RDV obligatoria
Datos incorrectos en la linea
. Formato de fecha de RDV del documento debe ser DD/MM/YYYY
Datos incorrectos en la linea
. Hora de RDV del documento obligatoria

Dodgy translations It's only when it becomes blatantly obvious that the Spanish strings have been translated into Spanish from English that the errors become apparent. Like the "butt" example I mentioned in another post. Or the liquid measure "gill" translated as "branquias".

@phil It's usually difficult to know for sure, but sometimes the original strings in Spanish have been direct automatic translations from other languages, usually Italian or French, but occasionally others. I know that RDV is an abbreviation for rendezvous, but I didn't know if the same abbreviation was used in Spanish or other languages. I'll ask the client and see what kind of feedback I get, but it might be a week or so before they get back to me.

You implied in your previous question about CCM that these strings were translations. Do you know from what language? In French, RDV is rendezvous, ie meeting or appointment.
