Application to vary bail
The Bail Act 1976 (BA 1976) gives the court power to:
vary any conditions it has imposed on bail in the proceedings;
impose conditions in cases where the court originally granted unconditional bail.
Procedure
There are many reasons why a defendant may seek to change their conditions of bail. It may be, for example, that they wish to vary a condition of residence or change the times they are required to report to a local police station.
