I am translating a secondary school app with maths content.

Deducimos comes up at the beginning of every sentence, here are some examples:

Deducimos la expresión decimal de fracciones (expresión decimal finita)

Deducimos la expresión decimal de fracciones (expresión decimal finita o infinita periódica pura o mixta)

Deducimos la fracción o la expresión decimal de un racional con expresión decimal finita o infinita periódica pura

So, I´m thinking ´work out´ or ´convert´, because in the context of fractions and decimals you talk about converting one to the other. But I think the Spanish meaning of ´deducimos´ in this context has to do with a longer thinking process where you infer the answer from known facts. But infer wouldn´t work either in a maths context.

So maybe ´work out´?

Not 'we determine' This is presumably a list of the things the student will learn from the app, so just 'determine'.
I think the translation will vary depending on the context. So, for example, 'deducimos la expresión decimal de fracciones' = 'express fractions as decimals'.

Deducir = determinar Alexandra, I do not know if you have considered the option of "determine" as a possible translation of "deducir". In Spanish, "deducir" and "determinar" are synonyms in the context of mathematics, so I believe something like "we determine the decimal value of (....)" might work well.

As it's an app, putting 'is explained' at the end of each sentence would work and would avoid any tricky nuances.

Thank you. Yes, I think work out works in some sentences, but convert would work in others like: Deducimos la expresión decimal de fracciones y viceversa Convert decimals to fractions and vice versa. Do you agree? You can also work out a fraction from a decimal and vice versa but the correct term when working with fractions decimals and percentages is to convert. Right? Sorry I´m just making double, extra sure.
