@AllegroTrans @Sylvie LE BRAS Lucky for you I'm also a native-speaker..
Of course it could work! I should have said that in my personal opinion it wasn't the best fit in this context that's all.
Sylvie LE BRAS (asker) Aug 19, 2023:
@AllegroTrans I was not fully satisfied with my proposal, although it could work (contrary to what Zorana said), and Valerie's suggestion is best.

AllegroTrans Aug 19, 2023:
OK but the asker is a French native-speaker....
Zorana B. Aug 19, 2023:
The only reason not to use "Tout est au rouge" is that in terms of meaning it doesn't ring any bell in French..
AllegroTrans Aug 19, 2023:
Asker I think you answered your own question. Is there any reason not to use "Tout est au rouge"?

English term (edited): I've got flashing at me, BrE

je me trouve à l'opposé des voyeurs

> flashing at me in the UK connotes 'indecent exposure' = un attentat à la pudeur. So the source text - disastrously unidentified - must be non-British and American, Canadian or Aussie English.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Daryo : This fast food joint being under siege from a flash mob of flashers? Not very likely. Unless this manager is in some kind of X-rated business, THAT meaning of "flashing" wouldn't make any sense.

English term (edited): I've got everything flashing at me!

Ça s'annonce vraiment mal! / Ça va vraiment mal tourner! / Désastre à l'horizon!

The "flashing" is the flashing of warning lights.
