Spanish term

Ayudante de piso.

Non-PRO Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general) Legal deposition.
I would like to know the best translation of this phrase from Dominican Spanish into American Spanish.

Colleagues from Spain, feel free to send me your suggestions as well. This is a translation of a legal deposition. The Spanish speaker is from The Dominican Republic.

Is okay to translate it as floor's helper?

Thanks for you help.

Here is the full paragraph for your review:

Yo estaba trabajando en el delicatessen en Queens, Nueva York y en la carnicería de ese lugar. Mi título laboral en ese lugar era el ayudante de piso. Yo trabajaba 5 días a la semana.

Votes to reclassify question as PRO/non-PRO:

Non-PRO (3): AllegroTrans, Yvonne Gallagher, Nelson Soares

When entering new questions, KudoZ askers are given an opportunity* to classify the difficulty of their questions as 'easy' or 'pro'. If you feel a question marked 'easy' should actually be marked 'pro', and if you have earned more than 20 KudoZ points, you can click the "Vote PRO" button to recommend that change.

How to tell the difference between "easy" and "pro" questions:

An easy question is one that any bilingual person would be able to answer correctly. (Or in the case of monolingual questions, an easy question is one that any native speaker of the language would be able to answer correctly.)

A pro question is anything else... in other words, any question that requires knowledge or skills that are specialized (even slightly).

Another way to think of the difficulty levels is this: an easy question is one that deals with everyday conversation. A pro question is anything else.

When deciding between easy and pro, err on the side of pro. Most questions will be pro.

* Note: non-member askers are not given the option of entering 'pro' questions; the only way for their questions to be classified as 'pro' is for a ProZ.com member or members to re-classify it.

Floor assistant

In Spain "asistente de piso" would be a chambermaid's helper, but, given the fact that it is the DR and the context is a shop/store, I think "floor assistant" works well.

I think "floor assistant" is the correct term. However, you could search "floor help" or "floor helper" and see if what comes up fits your context.
Example sentence:

As a Floor Assistant, no two days are the same, but most days will include the following responsibilities: Tagging and sorting clothing so it’s ready for its new home. Providing top notch customer service at the fitting room and on the sales floor. We g

butcher’s assistant

I worked as a butcher’s assistant in the Delicatessen Butcher shop based in Queen, New York City for five days a week.
Note from asker:
Thanks for your help Mr, Alva Mendibiru but I don't think he was a butcher. He was serving food and helping the clients of this place located in Queens, New York.
Feel free to write to me in Spanish, I'm also a native Spanish speaker.
