osteoarthritis; degenerative articulation disease

Explanation:
In my understanding, the report used an English acronym, which stands for "early degenerative disease".

EAD: (Spanish) Enfermedad articular degenerativa / Enfermedad autosómica dominante https://glosarios.servidor-alicante.com/siglas-medicas/ead

2.2 Doença articular degenerativa (DAD
(...)
A doença articular degenerativa (DAD) acomete diversas espécies animais (MAY, 1996) inclusive o homem (DENNY & BUTTERWORTH, 2006).

Considerando as estruturas envolvidas, a patogênese e o diagnóstico VEIGA (2006) propõe três classificação. DAD tipo I, associada à sinovites e capsulites DAD tipo II, secundária a fraturas, injúrias no osso subcondral, artrite infecciosa

Example Sentence

Osteoarthritis is also called degenerative articulation disease, degenerative arthritis and arthritis to wear. https://www.imedpub.com/articles/risk-factors-of-osteoarthri...

disagree  philgoddard: This doesn't fit the context - the patient has a post-traumatic hematoma and a pressure ulcer. And you've given three answers: early degenerative disease (which would be EDD), enfermedad articular degenerativa, and enfermedad autosómica degenerativa.

painful adverse event

Explanation:
EA is a common abbreviation for "evento adverso" or adverse event. The D adds on "doloroso" or painful.

neutral  philgoddard: I don't think so. Adverse events usually relate to drugs or other treatments. Evento adverso doloroso doesn't get any hits.

Upper GI Endoscopy/EGD (esophagogastroduodenoscopy

Explanation:
not sure if it fits the context exactly, but a medical term for EAD is "Endoscopia Digestiva Alta"

So an Upper GI Endoscopy or EGD (esophagogastroduodenoscopy)

disagree  philgoddard: It doesn't fit the context, and the abbreviation would be EDA, not EAD.

Just a thought in the context. Not a particulary common abbreviation but it might just fit here

Evento Adverso da Drenagem

Explanation:
Assim, a sigla ficaria "DAE"
