Swedish term or phrase: i vars verksamhet
Hi - I'm looking for how best to express verksamhet in the following context. Is it referring to "establishment" "premises" or closer to "activities". I'm at a loss as to which direction to go in! Thanks for your help!

Med forskningshuvudman avses en statlig myndighet eller en fysisk eller juridisk person i vars verksamhet forskningen utförs

in the course of whose activity / operation
Explanation:
...statlig myndighet eller en fysisk eller juridisk person i vars verksamhet forskningen utförs: a government authority / governmental agency or a physical or legal person (private inidvidual or legal entity/ body corporate, except partnerships in Anglo-Am law) in the course of whose activity or operation the research is carried out / conducted.

As it's a non-gainful scene, I won't canvass whether in the course of whose trade works better in AmE than in the course of whose business in BrE or vice versa.

agree  Christopher Schröder: Yes definitely activities, not establishment or premises

  -> Thanks. That also avoids the AmE vs. BrE vs. OzE/NZ conundrum of 'in the course of an employment, profession, occupation or vocation'. Operation, though, used to be routinely pluralised to operations my inhouse Central London T&I editor.

  -> Takk and thanks, Michele.
