Evangelical chair

English to Polish Other Government / Politics USA politics
Reportaż. USA.

Evangelical chair to tytuł osoby. Taką osobę senator Ted Cruz ma choćby w Karolinie Południowej. Najwyraźniej jest to ktoś zajmujący sie kwestiami religii / zdobywania głosów wspólnot wyznaniowych w trakcie choćby kampanii prezydenckich. Wypowiedź z kampanii wyborczej:

“Having David Barton running the super PAC gives it a lot of validity for evangelicals and pastors,” said Mike Gonzalez, Cruz’s South Carolina evangelical chair.

A big part of Cruz’s strategy, in South Carolina and nationally, is to emerge as the consensus choice of evangelicals and other conservative Christians. To that end, in South Carolina, Mike Gonzalez is leading an initiative to recruit in each county a pastor who will then be tasked with turning out more Christians for Cruz. That echoes an approach Cruz has already taken in Iowa, where efforts are underway to tap a pastor in all 99 counties.

Of course, Cruz's campaign never assumed it would have the evangelical vote entirely to itself in South Carolina. Mike Gonzalez, a pastor who heads Cruz's evangelical outreach in the state, said in an interview earlier this month that he expects Cruz to receive the "lion's share" of the evangelical vote, with most of the rest split among Rubio and Trump.

Peer comment(s):

agree Andrzej Mierzejewski : ale może: przewodniczący, lider itp., ponieważ prezes to poważna funkcja na czele poważnej firmy/organizacji.
