Spanish to English Bus/Financial Accounting Logistics, EDI, e-billing
This appears in a list of e-invoicing software strings. It seems to be a typo, but what for? Looks like it might be "persecución", but that wouldn't make much sense in the context, unless it referred to something like chasing after unpaid debts.

Client response My earlier suspicions were confirmed. The strings were translated into Spanish from English erroneously and then back translated, and somehow it ended up as 'perseguición'. Apparently, the correct translation into English would be Charge/Allowance basis (Base de carga/descuento). Thanks again to everyone for the comments and help.

Thanks for the input I suspect that the original strings may have been in English and were later were translated into Spanish, possibly in Pakistan. It looks like I'm going to have to ask the client again (there are other misspellings and odd expressions in the list as well). Thanks to everyone for all the comments and help so far.

Yes Yes, but 'persecución' implies some aggresiveness, and it will make little sense (as Neil said). Only things I'm sure about here is that 'perseguición' is not in the dictionary and that the source is poorly worded.

@Neil Yes, typo, sure, but what is the intended meaning? The preceding expression "base de carga" is also mysterious to me. Perhaps they are talking about a "base de licitación" or "base de acumulación o devengo" (???).
Regarding "perseguición" they might be meaning "seguimiento" (= base de seguimiento) with the meaning of "monitoring" or "tracking", but who knows? Ask them... if you can.

It’s possible that it was meant to be “Base de carga/procesión” or “Base de carga/progresión,” but without more context, it’s challenging to determine the intended meaning…

who done it ? Dunning may be an old-fashioned label, but retains the sense of chasing debts and neatly dovetails with next line of Importe sujeto a *litigio*. Compare the monitorio process as one way of debt recovery, previously known as 'default summons' in E&W. There's a similar proicess in Scotland, but I'm not going to canvas the issue.
