Dear Hungarian,
I would like to know if the following translated text in Hungarian is correct.
Already exist(s) in my dictionary.
Már létezik a Saját szótárban.
Already exist(s) in the dictionary.
Már létezik a Saját szótárban.
I wonder why the translator use the same words. I can see in English, there is a difference: My dictionary and the other phrase is: the dictionary.
Any suggestion??
Thanks in advance!

saját szótár
The two should be distinguished in Hungarian, too. "My" is correctly translated as "Saját" (own) in the first case; it should, howeevr, be omitted in the second one - unless "the dictionary" is synonymous to "my dictionary".

\"Saját\" is a good translation for \"My ...\": \"My Computer\" is translated as \"Sajátgép\" in the Hungarian version of Windows;
I have seen it in the OSD of mobile phones (\"My telephone menu\" -\"Saját telefon menü\"), etc.

saját szótár, szótár
In my opinion they should have different translations like: saját szótár and szótár, because they mean something different. In this case on the phone probably there is only one dictionary, this could be the reason why it is translated the same way.

(a) szótáram
Already exist(s) in my dictionary.
Már létezik a SZÓTÁRAMBAN.
(az ÉN szótáraMban) = határozott (definitive: im MY dictionary)
Already exist(s) in the dictionary.
Már létezik A szótárban.
(nem tudjuk kié a szótár) = határozatlan (indefinitive: in THE dictionary)
a "saját"-ot kitenni fölösleges. (no need to put in my OWN dict.)

: A "saját" itt csak szószaporítás. The "saját" is a pleonasm.

: In general, this may be true, however, this is a special context - which the asker did not describe here - with special terminology, where "my dictionary" is "Saját szótár", following the "My Computer" - Sajátgép pattern.
