frustration with communication

Hi Andy,

The idea here is that since your student has started to work they have had greater opportunity to use English for conversation, but they feel a kind of frustration because even though they can communicate, they cannot express their exact thoughts without assistance.

I often experience this myself!!

I have had the opportunity to speak English having lived there, but when

I've used the word apology there, but literally it should be 'a regrettable thing' which may well mean turning an offer from someone down, apologising, and so on. Note it's shakaijin not kaishajin, hence living somewhere rather than starting work.

Hope that helps, Andy.
Jon.

Full sentence was: \"I have had the opportunity to speak English having lived there, but when it is an apology that I can\'t convey well, it doesn\'t come across.\"

disagree Andrew Wille (X) : 社会人 refers to a fully-fledged adult member of society earning their own wage and contributing to society. There is a social transition from 学生 to 社会人 on becoming 会社員, and the importance of this responsibility is drilled into new company employe

I have had opportunities to speak English since I started to work, but it is frustrating not to be..

Hello Andy!

The whole translation didn't fit in the box. Here's the whole thing:

==========
I have had opportunities to speak English since I started to work, but it is frustrating not to be able to express what I want to say. If I could communicate in English…
==============

It seems that the last part is cut off in the middle of the word, so I cannot finish the sentence. Does the last character 「も」keep going as 「もっと」? Then it’ll be like “If I could communicate in English, it would be more…”

I hope this will help.

Kana :)
