一般来说，要建构一个好的程式交易系统，需要以下几项商品：电脑程式系统，技术指标等。目前市面上的电脑程式交易系统相当多，不过最为常用的分析软件有国外的Omega Tradestation，MetaStock，OmniTrader等系统，国产软件有分析家，飞狐，指南针等系统，其中以TradeStation和分析家功能最为强大，可对于所作之交易策略进行回溯测试（Back-Testing），不过由于其程式撰写难度稍高，因此需要花较多的时间学习，目前一般专业股票期货或证券自营商，或是国外的金融交易人员大都以此种系统为主要交易依据。
