I'm having a bad day and I can't get my head round a sentence. It's just the second part of the sentence I'm struggling with (which I've done as a seperate sentence in the English translation).

Proporcionar una formació adequada sobre els principis i els procediments metodològics i tècnics emprats en la gestió, la conservació i la comunicació dels documents d’arxiu, des del moment que són generats, amb l’objectiu de preservar el testimoni dels drets, dels interessos, del quefer i de la memòria de les persones morals i físiques, així com racionalitzar els recursos d’informació en els organismes.

This enables first-hand accounts of the rights, interests, tasks and memories of individual persons to be kept, as well as information resources to be stored in an organised manner in archive centres.

The usual problem here, I think. The original is quite poorly written, leaving it open to interpretation at key points in the text.

"To provide appropriate training on the methodological principles, procedures and techniques used in the organization, conservation and divulgation of archive documents from the moment they are generated. The overall aim is to safeguard the rights, interests, responsibilities of the people, or bodies, providing any eyewitness accounts as well as enabling the rationalisation of information resources within archive centres."

Thanks. It's reassuring for someone else to think it was badly written. I was hoping the Spanish translation would help, but as ever between that language pair (in either direction), it was just word-for-word stuff, so I ended up with the same nonsense.
