Hola, not quite sure about this: "Als finals del segle IX de la nostra era ocupen la conca carpàtica que a la vetlla d'aquesta conquesta romandrà sota diferents dominis". A la vetlla de...romandrà? :-)

Well, since after the conquest it wasn't

sota diferents dominis, the problem must be with the tense of "romandre", which should be in present. (Actually it should be in past, but that's another story.) Doncs: "... on the eve of the conquest was under ..."

It doesn't make much sense to me, as it is, Paul. Maybe the rest of the text makes it clear (or not!). I imagine it doesn't otherwise you wouldn't be asking. Maybe the author has expressed him/herself badly here?

Anyway, that's my first impression, for what it's worth!
