| 民族 ethnicity/people group Explanation: I think "nationality" is incorrect because it implies belonging to a nation (in the political sense). 民族 has more to do with one's culture and language than one's location. Someone's 民族 could be Chinese, but their 国籍 could be American. So, "ethnicity" would be the technical term, but the phrase "people group" is also correct.
