This is the chapter title of a short book on diving. I understand that literally it means "let the heart flow" but that does not make sense to an English speaker. 心 could be something more abstract like spirit or soul though. So I understand the pieces of the title but I cannot think of a title that would be suitable for the English reader.

I have included an excerpt of the chapter to give an idea of the flavor. The author is Taiwanese. In general the book is supposed to be informative and entertaining.

Discussion

Phil Hand Feb 14, 2015:
bit like 滚动? I don't think this is very well defined, and I agree with tanglsus below. The image it gives to me is one of tension/engagement rising because of the specific rules/rhythms/procedures on the boat, so each dive feels more exciting than the last. Dunno how accurate that is, but I'd go for a translation in that area: The drumbeat of the dive; Preparation is the spirit of scuba; Immersed in the rhythms of the boat... pick your metaphor and run with it!

agree MottoLab : What makes the blood flow is the heart (让血流动的是心), therefore 心流动 may allude to "making one come alive" or exhilarating as suggested by tanglsus.

砰动

砰动 in Chinese has various meanings depending on the context. It can be used for someone falling in love for the first sight, and make him/her feel like having a "bang" from the the heart. It can also be used to describe a "shocking situation" emotionally or physically. it also means "bang".

In this article, it is about the person diving in the cold water and wearing a very thin diving suits. So I suggest to use 砰动 instead of 流动.
