Danish term
Påfugl udskæring
Danish to English
Tech/Engineering
Mechanics / Mech Engineering
It's about a woodchipper. I've spent half an hour trying to Google it, and I honestly don't have a slightest clue how to translate it. Here is a bit of a context:
Punkt 2: Luftindtag i rotorhus ("Påfugl udskæring")
I maskinens rotorhus er der lavet en såkalds "Påfugl udskæring" som fungerer som luftindtag til rotoren.
Any suggestions are very welcome.

Thanks for your suggestion. You can also submit your answer, so I can choose it as the most helpful.
other options would be "semi-circular" or "half-round" shaped air intake vents or slots with no mention either of the "peacock" or the "cutout"
Thank you!
is there any image of the rotor housing air intake slots / air intake vents on the rotor housing?
perhaps these slots or vents appear "peacock fan shaped" to the viewer of the wood chipper
