Dutch term

uitzendlijn

Dutch to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering Health and Safety plan
This term figures in a list.

The full item is 'uitzendlijnen van cryogeen materiaal'.

The Health and Safety plan has to do with construction works in cargo docks in a port in Belgium and this list features all the things that have to be constructed.

We have tried to look, but in vain and there is not a lot of context on this one. Anyone help?

Discussion

Kirsten Bodart (asker) Jun 27, 2012:
More context As I said, the document mainly refers to the things around the works, not the works themselves (this is the problem), but below are many of the items in the list I am referring to:

1 brandwater dieselpomp
1 draintank
1 N2 opslag- en verdampingunit
uitbreiding van het bestaande pijpenrek/uitzendlijnen

The works are going to be done in a Belgian port on an LNG (liquified natural gas) site.

I can't give any more, I'm afraid.

Would need more context to give it a higher confidence rating but this is my hunch as to what it is.
Peer comment(s):

agree Tineke Van Beukering : IMO transfer is more general than supply. Just 'transfer line' then in answer to the question here; 'cryogenic transfer line' as translation for the entire term.

supply lines

That's my take. It's probale that the supplied cryogen materials are packed. But it could also refer to cryogen pipelines for the transport of cooled liquids or gases. That's why lines is better than pipes IMO
