Dutch term

kritische verbruikers

Dutch to English Tech/Engineering Electronics / Elect Eng
Kritische verbruikers: Dit zijn verbruikers die ononderbroken via een No-Break installatie worden gevoed. (referring to equipment in an industrial building)

Is the term "critical consumers" used in this context?

Thanks

Selected

vital or key consumers/users

critical consumers can be construed as consumers who are critical of something rather that vitally require the service

Thanks (:-{)>
neutral Ken Cox : agree with 'vital', but I'd use 'loads' instead of 'consumers' in this context (but who knows, if enough people translate 'verbruiker' as 'consumer' it will probably catch on).

Fair enough Kenneth - you are of course absolutely correct in this uninterrupted power supply context

nonstop consumers

Consumers here refers to the equipment.
Consumers requiring nonstop power for critical installations, i.e. no-break power supply.
Nonstop = without pause or interruptions (Collins English Dictionary).

neutral Harry Borsje : sorry, irrelevant ref.\\Re: this is power-critical in the sense of reducing power consumption, not in the sense of 'not allowed to be cut off from power'

Why? // Thanks Harry. I agree that this is 'power-critical' in the sense of reducing power consumption, but IMHO the term is equally applicable in the asker's context.
