I'm looking for a good translation of this word in the content of local authority support for brownfield development projects. Neither 'manager' nor 'coordinator' really seems to fit the bill perfectly. This is the definition in my text:
"Onder 'regisseurs' worden de overheden begrepen die betrokken zijn bij het project in het kader van ruimtelijke planning, vergunninglening, bodemsanering, enz." The 'regisseurs' are contrasted with 'actors' as the two major groups involved in these projects (actors being landholders, project developers and financiers). I think I need something that combines the idea of 'facilitator' with 'public authority' but I need a short, preferably one word, term, as it is repeated many times after this definition.

: They are using film/theatre terms so I would go for director without any brackets.

: And 'stakeholders' or 'principal parties' would be more fitting for 'actors' (which IMHO is translated too literally from the Dutch 'actoren').

agree-I wouldn't use actors either in this context but clearly the 'authorities' are happy enough with the translations they receive.

Comment: "'Director' is one translation but not suitable in my context. The best suggestion (planning coordinator) came from Natasha Ziada in the discussion entries, as the context was exactly right. I would like to award Natasha 4 points."

I'm also not quite sure who did - apart from the asker in the other discussion himself (Chris Hopsley) and I don't think that's relevant here.
