Indentation at the patellar tendon
In addiiton to the discussion entries above..
If this relates in any way to a patellar tendon tear, then this kind of indentation is often described as "An indentation or sunken area beneath your knee in the front" (https://www.mymosh.com/orthopedics/what-you-should-know-abou...
or
"An indentation at the bottom of your kneecap where the patellar tendon tore" (https://orthoinfo.aaos.org/en/diseases--conditions/patellar-...
Best to check first with the source document to see whether 'pale a pees' could be a typo/misprint for 'patellapees'!

: Good idea to look further with respect to this 'inzinking'. Even if it isn't a tear (I suspect it is), 'indentation' / 'sunken area' (nice) would still be okay.

Comment: "Original Dutch version was from a voice dictation software, so "pale a pees" should have read "patellapees". Thanking both Ruchira and Barend for their excellent detective work!!"

So it is up to you in this case.
Please do.
I also found that 'dent' can be used for 'inzinking'.
an agree is coming your way.
Just wanted to suggest it.
I suggest you offer a translation for:
Inzinking ter plaatse van de patellapees.
del/delle: inzinking van opperhuid door onderliggende weefselreductie, bijv. na plastisch-chir. ingreep, in molluscum contagiosum, bij pitting oedema, als pokpuist (bij pokken)

Seems to be a German word: https://en.pons.com/translate/german-dutch/Delle
These elements are highly unlikely:

Could you just post what you find in the Dutch text?
That is, what is preceding and what is following this part?
Do not give your own translations.
Thank you.
