Assonance is the repetition of vowel sounds in words that are close to each other - this also includes diphthongs. Like alliteration, it is the sound rather than the letter used that is important.

naty44 Chápu, taky jsem to tam našla. Na správnosti překladu to nic nemění. Jen jsem chtěla upozornit, že na tý wikipedii to není zrovna šťastně formulovaný.

Yes  Markéta Demlová MITI: Překlad je samozřejmě správně, ale z hlediska literární teorie není asonance považována za rým, pro který je závazná shoda nejen samohlásek, ale i souhlásek

Yes  naty44: Ano, je to běžně používaný termín, současně ale souhlasím s Markétou, že při vysvětlení významu není správné použít slovo rým. Jedná se o zvukovou shodu samohlásek v koncových slabikách veršů.

  -> Máte samozřejmě pravdu. Halt je tady ta potřeba dávat reference z netu, tak jsem nalinkoval wikipedii. Hrabáka jsem na netu nikde nenašel :(. Jiří Demel řadí asonanci mezi "rýmoidy", což je ale termín u nás nepříliš používaný.
