Hyvää syntymäpäivää, kullanmuru!
Please note that the word "sweetie" is quite intimate, so if you are not quite that intimate with your friend, you may want to drop "kullanmuru". Another way of congratulating would be "Paljon onnea!" (lit. "a lot of luck").

When English-speakers sing "happy birthday to you", we Finns sing "paljon onnea vaan" (= "lots of luck to you"). And if you are looking for an intimate word like sweetie, "kulta" is a really good one. I use it a lot at home!

Note from asker:
I was actually looking for an intimate word! :) Is "Paljon onnea!" a wish for birthday? Thanks a lot! |
