forensic crimson

Amazing evidence of how one sees what one thinks is there, rather than what is really there: I only just noticed the very apt "drainwig" in the question, having read it as "drawing". Does trying to understand "forensic crimson" really drain one's wig?

neutral B D Finch : How do you link "purpura" either to the French translation you suggest, or to the English source term "forensic crimson"? Also, note that "purpura" (Latin?) is a forensic medical term used in both English and French.
