disagree Daryo : it's a very specific part of the whole "armature en fer à béton", and it's not even the part taking the load - you can't use the name for the whole instead of the name of the part

STANDEE—A term used in some regions of the country to designate a special bar bent to a U-shape with 90° bent legs extending in opposite directions at right angles to the U-bend.
