: Not at all sure about that, Luc! I think you'll find a 'fry dump' is the place where you store the 'fries' (= frites) temporarily when they come out of the fryer (that's the idea of 'dump'), and it is 'air-heated' to keep them hot.

Note that the noun 'fry' in this sense is the US term for what in the UK we call a 'chip', i.e. a '(pomme) frite' — it should not be confused with the verb 'to fry' or 'frying'.
