Example sentence:

: From the reference provided by M. Boye, it seems that the term was coined with a rather more complex scenario in mind.

Indeed, but my translation - albeit a 'fuzzy match' for what in the UK are loosely called 'scattergun accusations' cf. the non-existent Westminster paedophile-ring accusations broadening out to senior military figures - is still a French term of art.

dénonciations en maillage
The EN original is a coined term (new, invented by the author) using a fairly uncommon word (lattice). The basic concept is interrelated allegations that form some sort of larger network (see link below).
For example, per the link, there are multiple victims, multiple alleged perpetrators, some overlap but it's not one-to-one (e.g. Child A reports abuse by Perps W, X and Y; Child B reports it by Perps U, V, W and X); there is a shared context (e.g. the kids are at the same daycare center and the perps are among the staff); etc.
I suggest "en maillage" because it conveys the sense of interconnected/interwoven allegations and a network of abuse/abusers, but without using an everyday word (e.g. entremêlé).

PS the reason to use a slightly odd, non-everyday term is because this is a newly coined and slightly odd term in EN. It alerts the reader that it's something new.
