I don't think Schutzgott/Schutzgöttin would work. Never heard of, Duden doesn't list it.
I'd suggest one of these 2 alternatives:
Use Schutzpatron for patron saint and Schutzheilige for patron goddess (if you must make a distinction between the two)
Or:
Die Göttin..., Beschützerin von...
or
die Göttin..., die ... unter ihren besonderen Schutz genommen hat...
